Stratgery is important yes however its important to be flexible and change strats if one is not working, because of the glabal market. Really the best thing to do is have a stratgy to begin with and then predict what is going to happen on the market and let that determon what you do.

For instance if you started out producing steal but the still price goes s*** u need to consider will the price go back up or should you change.

hmmm, very old thread.
For new players who dont know what to do just start with building beaches and only beaches. If you do it right you will end up in top 50 easily. Certainly with the current number of people playing. You can try something else the next round after you got some feel for the game. Going bankrupt is the biggest pitfall to recover from if you dont play a casher strat. You need to have learned some basics to avoid it.
